Project Overview
The state of Paraná in Brazil is a major timber processing hub in South America. A large local timber processing enterprise requires a stable, high-temperature heat source during its production process for wood drying and plywood hot pressing. As production capacity increased, the existing coal-fired thermal oil boiler revealed issues such as high energy consumption, significant pollution, and unstable heat supply, which not only increased production costs but also created pressure from increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
To reduce energy costs and achieve green production, the company partnered with Huanuo Boilers to introduce a biomass thermal oil boiler system, fully utilizing the region’s abundant wood processing by-products to establish a circular economy production model.

Solution
Addressing the company’s precise temperature control requirements for processes such as panel drying and adhesive hot pressing, Huanuo Boilers’ technical team provided three YGW-3500MA horizontal biomass thermal oil boilers:
Request a Solution
The boilers feature a horizontal coil structure with ample heat transfer surface area, enabling rapid heating of the thermal oil and precise temperature control—fully meeting the strict requirements for a stable, high-temperature heat source in wood drying and plywood hot pressing.
By fully utilizing abundant local biomass resources—such as wood scraps, bark, and wood chips—as fuel, the system not only resolves solid waste disposal challenges but also significantly reduces fuel procurement costs, achieving resource recycling.
Equipped with multi-stage dust removal and flue gas purification systems, the flue gas emission concentration is 30% lower than local emission standards, successfully passing environmental protection inspections.
The boiler employs a fully automated control system that automatically adjusts combustion intensity based on process load, ensuring stable and reliable heat supply and eliminating the issue of temperature fluctuations—which previously affected product quality in the original coal-fired boiler.
Core Project Advantages
Fuel costs have decreased significantly compared to the original coal-fired boiler, with annual fuel cost savings of approximately 30% and a short payback period.
Biomass fuel is sourced locally, resolving the challenge of disposing of large amounts of wood waste and reducing solid waste disposal expenses.
Emission indicators exceed local environmental standards, enabling the company to successfully obtain “Green Factory” certification and enhance its market competitiveness.
Stable heat supply and precise temperature control have significantly improved the yield rates for product drying and hot pressing.
